Youth social responsibility..

What in u'r mind when u know that sentence?

Hmm..

Let me introduce about youth social responsibility (ysr). Ysr is a youth comunity in surabaya. We create ysr because of we have the same feel about yout activity. Nowadays,every youth is just think about what thing that can make them happy. They can having a positive activity like having clinic together, bike community or just sharing together. But, many of them choose to find their happiness with negative activities, such as breaking rules,drugs,drag race,etc. Or many girls just think about fashion and shooping. It isn't false,but they just wasting their money for making herself perfect and catchy. Without think about another unfortunately youth around them. With that situation,we think that we must move to a better thing. We have a responsibility to our world, youth world. Thats why we create YSR.

We didn't just create a community, but we also having an activities to support our community. Our first activities is ''Bagi Buku''.

 Then, what is bagi buku?

Bagi buku is an charity event. We collect book from another youth in prisma profesional as our collage. We ask our friend to walk together with us to make a change.

Why we collect book? Not money or another thing?

Because we thing that book is our window to see this beatiful world, and then we thing that every youth as our target have many book in their rooms. So, they can share their book with another youth in surabaya.

We collect book from another youth is  for help  the blindness and elder in nursing home. We'll help them to read that book for them. It's our way to share this world to them,so they didn't feel alone.

In this event i have responsibility to make presentation slide for our promotion tools. The contains in that presentation is about Youth world, the black and white about youth, YSR, Bagi buku and bantu baca.we'll present that presentation slide to our junior in prisma to ask them join us in this event. Not only making presentation slide, but also, making box for book box and poster together with another commite in PR'09. We have a great work guys..! I'm really happy to be the one of member in ysr. That giving me many experience about create event from the begining until the end.

I think this event run well. But i have 3 suggestion for making this event running great.

1. about the time of event. If this event run longger than now,i think the impact of this event will be Great.

2.  about the coordination with the team.  I think that’s point is our trouble. Because of  many member in our class is already work, so we difficult to having good coordination with the time. So my suggestion is, make a solid team.

3. suggestion for prisma, prisma can make this event as his CSR, and YSR and PR Junior member will organize that event. This event can be Prisma’s CSR because this event is charity event and this event feasible to hold every year in Prisma.

kita MUDA kita PEDULI, we are HISTORY MAKER

Youth Social Responsibility is a community that created to ask youth for join to help thier fellow as a youth generations’ responsibility to the nation. Basiclly, this activity want to facilitate youth to do positive things in life through the YSR-Book Charity program. Prisma Professional students can participate by donating one unused books. The books are meant to be autobiographical books, novels, biographies, psychology, which is not contain “SARA” inside. The books which was collected will be donated to orphanages and nursing homes in Surabaya, which is facilitated by member of the YSR-Bantu Baca. This activity has been started since August 9 and will be end on September 6. *come on join us to inspiring ur life...

In this community, I am responsible in the maintaining of Social Media, such as Facebook, Twitter and Blogger. In addition, my colleagues and I should present this program and ask our junior to participate in this program. We are also responsible for making the box that will be used as a books box for charity and did some publications material of this activity.

Being a part of YSR commitee is very valuable opportunity, because through these activities, I can learn many things about EO’s, how crazy became the commitee of this event and fuzz between each member. But it still fun to organize and create an event to be known and discussed by every people in Prisma.

Each activity must have their strength and weakness, but for me is how the process has been carried out by PR 2009’s team in implementing this activity. *actually you all (PR'09) have done a great job, dear ... The strength of this activity is that these activities are social activities to help people with visual impairments and elder in nursing homes, and this activity is a facilitator for teens to help their fellow. The weakness of this activity is on the committee’s opportunity to promote these activities to the Prisma Professional students because of the commitee member’s time. The message that we issued is received not well by the student (the students confused between YSR-Bagi Buku and YSR-Bantu Baca).

3 suggestion that I could give as reference for this kind of activity in the future are: 

• The period of this program should be longer than a month to get the best result. We can not expect more if we just do that in a month.

• Find out some students as the brand ambassador. This students will be word of mouth people for this event.

• Create some event as the ‘gong’ of this book charity program.

I just hope that this program really could facilitate youth to help blinds and elder and for member of School of Public Relations 2009-2011, you are really GREAT guys.. :) Bu Candra, really thank you for this kind of opportunity.
